Greg = 1, Crib = 0

So, it's been a while since our last update. Everything is going swell (there's a pun about Jill in there somewhere). Jill's doing great, getting a little bigger and the baby is very active - especially after some Girl Scout cookies.

We've done some painting and what is apparently known as "nesting," but what I was really intrigued about was the dreaded crib assembly.

Now, I'm no Bob Vila, but I consider myself fairly handy - especially when it comes to an Alan wrench. I chalk it up tp three years in New York and lots of IKEA furniture. However, I've heard over and over again that the two worst things about prepping for the child are the assembly of the crib and the installation of the car seat. Well, with one down, I hope that putting in the car seat is as simple as the crib. Start to finish 75 minutes with a bit of an assist from Mrs. Hare.

Perhaps we were aided because we opted to bypass the drop down front on the crib. The level of the bed adjusts, but no movable gate. So hopefully the baby doesn't care. I doubt that she will.

Still a couple months until the car seat installation. Looking forward to that.

Updated pictures of Jill's tummy to appear post-Easter. Get Excited!

Greg, you are a crib genius. I'm going to keep this in mind for later in life.

Yes. Hoping that crib experience will come in handy when I construct an inescapable jail for our daughter's teenage years.
