Food is Fabulous
Baby Evie is getting bigger (too big, actually as we had to delay the introduction of solid foods until now). However, since it's a new year, it's time for some new excitement in her life, thus - RICE CEREAL!
She seems to have taken a liking to the white, pasty stuff. Nothing too messy yet, but we're excited for things to come. Note Evie's ability to ham it up for the camera as well.

There's a First for Everything
Greg and I got lots of great things for Christmas this year, but the best present of all was getting to share the first holiday season with Evelyn. She accomplished a lot in December, checking quite a few things off her to-do list: first trip to Florida, first Christmas, first trip to the beach, first boat ride and many more. All in all, she continues to be a lovable and easy going baby who keeps us laughing long after she goes to bed for the night.
Look at her face with Santa... she seems to know that she's humoring us.

My hands are delicious
Evie hasn't started eating real food yet, but that hasn't stopped her from practicing. She puts anything and everything in her mouth, and her hands seem to be the most delicious. Here she is standing in her Einstein jumper. But instead of playing with all of the fun toys it has, she'd rather stand inside it and chew on her digits.

Our Little Butterball

As we celebrate Evie's first Thanksgiving (and a more subdued celebration of my 31st year on this planet), we thought it might be a good time to put a new picture on our much ignored blog.
Evie's getting bigger, and as you can probably tell from the picture, she's a solid baby with some very kissable cheeks.
It's been a busy November for Evelyn. Meeting her Great Aunt Gale and Uncle Paul, our friends Ovi and Michelle as well as visits from both sets of grandparents. A full month to say the least.
Overall though, Evie is doing great, we're currently breaking her out of her addiction to the Miracle Blanket and sleep training seems to be working well as she's been sleeping mostly through the night.
Jill and I have much to be thankful for this year, good health, good family and friends and each other. However, most of all we're thankful for little Evelyn as she brings us joy every day.
Happy Thanksgiving!
