A lot to be thankful for

Lydia made it through her first Thanksgiving and ate just as much turkey as Evie....none. She's 13 weeks old now and time is flying by, especially since we're still not sleeping. Evie is in the midst of "being 2" and everything is hilarious, dramatic or devastating like only a two year old can demonstrate. Playing in the leaves, however, is a favorite these days.

Lydia Mae Arrives
.jpg)
On Monday, August 30th, 2010 and 8:23 a.m., Evelyn became a big sister. At a substantial 9 lbs and 9.8 ounces, she had a bit of trouble keeping her oxygen up and was admitted to the NICU. Her stay was two days brief before transitioning to the intermediate nursery and 48 hours into the world, her dad and I finally got to hold and love on her. She's got chubby cheeks and dark hair like her big sister did, and seems to have endured all her wires, tests and needle pricking like a champ. We are taking her home today to meet her big sister and can't wait to get to stare at her all the time instead of just visit her in the nursery.

Evie's First Day of Preschool

I can't not believe that Evie is old enough for preschool! She was excited to go to Mt. Bethel this morning and carry her big, new book bag. The halls were brimming with children crying, but Evie was not one of them. She gave me a wave goodbye and stepped into her classroom and started to play. In Evie's own words, "school fun."
