Hat Day

Lydia was pretty jazzed that Evie wanted to include her in her silly hat game.

Tea for Two?

Evie wanted to have tea with her sister. She got out all her cups and plates, but as you can see, Lydia didn't quite know what to do.

On a Roll

Lydia is six months old today and graced her dad and I with the "I want to roll over in my crib but can't get back game" last night. Luckily, today turned a new page and she's happily taking a long nap on her belly. Watch out world, she's on a roll.

Two Sweet

Lydia and Evie share many adorable moments recently. Now if only Evie would share her ability to nap with her sister....

The Sister Bond Begins

This month has been the best yet for the interaction between our two girls, and I know it'll only get more fun from here.

19 Weeks

Lydia is definitely making her place as the little sister more apparent, at least to Evie. "Sharing" is tough, but the cute moments out weigh the tears, a trend I hope continues forever.

16 Weeks

Lydia has reached 16 weeks and is finally letting her mom and dad sleep a little more at night. She's a super happy girl as long as you're not trying to make her nap. She and Evie have had some cute moments recently where they "hold hands."

14 Weeks and Still Not Sleeping

Good thing she's cute, cause she doesn't sleep.

A lot to be thankful for

Lydia made it through her first Thanksgiving and ate just as much turkey as Evie....none. She's 13 weeks old now and time is flying by, especially since we're still not sleeping. Evie is in the midst of "being 2" and everything is hilarious, dramatic or devastating like only a two year old can demonstrate. Playing in the leaves, however, is a favorite these days.

Go Philies!

Greg couldn't resist buying Evie a matching hat to his in honor of the Phillies making it to the division series!

Lydia Mae Arrives

On Monday, August 30th, 2010 and 8:23 a.m., Evelyn became a big sister. At a substantial 9 lbs and 9.8 ounces, she had a bit of trouble keeping her oxygen up and was admitted to the NICU. Her stay was two days brief before transitioning to the intermediate nursery and 48 hours into the world, her dad and I finally got to hold and love on her. She's got chubby cheeks and dark hair like her big sister did, and seems to have endured all her wires, tests and needle pricking like a champ. We are taking her home today to meet her big sister and can't wait to get to stare at her all the time instead of just visit her in the nursery.

Evie's First Day of Preschool

I can't not believe that Evie is old enough for preschool! She was excited to go to Mt. Bethel this morning and carry her big, new book bag. The halls were brimming with children crying, but Evie was not one of them. She gave me a wave goodbye and stepped into her classroom and started to play. In Evie's own words, "school fun."

Evie is 2!

With family and friends around, two cakes, and lots of presents, she declared herself older as "two"...sometimes even "three"...but that'll have to wait until next year.
